Nirav Patel

Nirav Patel is a 3L J.D. Candidate graduating in May 2016.  Originally born in India, Nirav earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Texas Tech University in 2013.  He serves as the Executive Managing Editor of the Law Review and is also a member of the Board of Barristers.  As a 2L, he was a member of two national moot court teams: the NYC Bar Association National Moot Court Competition and the Duberstein Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition.  He has also served as a tutor for Professor Krahmer’s Contracts class and Professor Shannon’s Property class.

Nirav’s legal interests include oil and gas law, mergers and acquisitions, and appellate law.  He will begin his career at Kelly Hart & Hallman in Fort Worth, Texas as an associate attorney in the firm’s Energy/Oil & Gas practice group.
