Jake Rutherford

Jake Rutherford is a 3L J.D. Candidate graduating in May 2016. He was born and raised in New Braunfels, Texas, and earned his Bachelors of Arts in Government from the University of Texas at Austin. He also received a minor in History.

In addition to his duties as the Editor-in-Chief for the Texas Tech Law Review, Jake is the Student Editor for the LexisNexis Oil & Gas Reporter and is a Research Assistant and Property Tutor. During his first two summers in Law School, Jake worked for State District Judge Gary Steel in New Braunfels; Mehaffy Weber law firm in Houston; and Uhl, Fitzsimons, Jewett & Burton in San Antonio.
