Austin Smith
Austin is a 3L J.D. Candidate graduating in May 2016. Austin grew up in Dallas, Texas, and attended the University of Kansas where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance. Prior to attending law school, Austin worked as a sales associate for Sewell Lexus of Dallas.
In addition to being an Articles Editor for Volume 48 of the Texas Tech Law Review, Austin serves as President of Phi Delta Phi. He also serves as a Research Assistant for Professor Dustin Benham, as well as a Civil Procedure tutor for Professor Robert Weninger. Austin’s experience includes working as an intern for the Honorable Jane Boyle in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas and as a summer associate for Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons LLP and The Lanier Law Firm. After graduating, he will join Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP in Dallas, Texas, as an associate attorney in the firm’s Complex Commercial Litigation Team.
