KVP

Kristen Vander-Plas

Kristen is a 3L J.D. Candidate graduating in May 2016. Kristen (known affectionately as “KVP” to her peers and professors alike) grew up in Lubbock, Texas, and attended Lubbock Christian University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Humanities. 

Kristen is a Comment Editor for Volume 48 of the Texas Tech Law Review and a member of several of Tech Law’s national advocacy traveling teams. To date she and her teams have clinched two national championships and she has been awarded the prestigious ABA National Best Advocate title. She has also served as Civil Procedure tutor for Professor Bryan Camp. Kristen currently serves as Dean of the Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity and is a member of Phi Delta Phi and the Texas Tech Board of Barristers. 

Kristen is particularly interested in the areas of civil litigation and civil appellate law. She spent her 1L summer interning at the Supreme Court of Texas for Justice Don Willett and upon graduating will join Justice Willett’s chambers as a law clerk.
