Tara Parker
Tara Parker is a J. D. Candidate for May of 2016, and an Articles Editor on the Texas Tech Law Review. She grew up in Tyler, Texas and lived there until she left for college in 2009. She completed her undergraduate degree at Austin College in December 2012, where she majored in English and minored in Religious Studies. While in college, she was a member of the women’s soccer team and the president of her sorority.
In law school, she has participated in various advocacy competitions and won the Spring 2015 Advanced Mock Trial competition. She was also a member on both the 2014–2015 and 2015–2016 ABA Arbitration national teams. Each of these advocacy competitions has helped prepare her to be a trial attorney as soon as she leaves law school. Her experience in the Criminal Defense Clinic as a 3L has confirmed her interest in Criminal Law, which she plans on pursuing after graduation.
