Zach Sims is a current 2L J.D. candidate who will graduate in May of 2026. Zach was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, and graduated from Frenship High School. He attended Texas Tech University where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science and a minor in Communication Studies.
Over his 1L summer, Zach interned with the Alliance Defending Freedom in Virginia where he drafted various legal memos and case summaries, conducted legislative surveys, and drafted potential legislation materials.
In addition to serving as a Staff Member for Volume 57 of Texas Tech Law Review, Zach is a member of the Federalist Society and serves Texas Tech’s chapter as Vice President of External Affairs. He is also a member of Christian Legal Society and enjoyed competing in Negotiations, Mock Trial, and Moot Court his 1L year.
Zach is married and loves spending time with his wife, Koryn. He enjoys traveling, hiking, disc golf, and the Texas Rangers.
