William Bashur

Will Bashur is a 3L J.D. candidate who will graduate in May 2024. He was born and raised in Austin, Texas and graduated from Emory University in May 2020 with a Bachelor of Business Administration.  

Prior to law school, Will worked as a legislative analyst for Capitol Access Partners, a lobbying group specializing in energy and water policy, during the 87th Texas Legislative Session.  

In addition to serving as a Texas Tech Law Review Articles Editor, Will is a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society, Sports and Entertainment Law Society, and Energy Law Society.  

Following his 1L year, Will interned for U.S. District Judge Lee Yeakel in the Austin Division of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. Will also worked in Representative Dustin Burrows’s office as part of the Texas Tech Law Externship Program during the 88th Texas Legislative Session. After his 2L year, Will served as a summer law clerk for Davidson Troilo Ream & Garza, a San Antonio-based law firm. Will’s primary legal interests include sports and entertainment law and energy law.  

In his spare time, Will enjoys watching/playing sports, reading, playing piano, and traveling.
