Sydney Dumas

Sydney Dumas is a third-year law student who will graduate in May 2025. She was born and raised in Waco, Texas. Sydney graduated magna cum laude from Texas Tech University in 2019, majoring in Business Marketing with minors in Political Science and Legal Studies.

In addition to serving as a staff member for Volume 56 of the Texas Tech Law Review, Sydney serves as a Legal Practice Teaching Fellow for Professor Soonpaa and as a Dean’s Ambassador. She is a member of the Organization for Women Law Students and the Federalist Society.

Following her 1L year, Sydney clerked for the 48th District Court in Tarrant County where she evaluated evidentiary objections in motions for summary judgment and observed court proceedings. She is primarily interested in corporate litigation and medical malpractice. In her spare time, Sydney likes to workout, spend time with family and friends, and cheer for the Red Raiders.
