Sara Kuri is a second-year law student at Texas Tech University School of Law and will graduate in May 2028. Sara grew up in El Paso, Texas and graduated from El Paso High School before moving to Lubbock, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2022.
Before law school, Sara worked as a registered nurse, an experience that taught her the importance of advocating for others. Following her first year of law school, Sara participated in a study abroad program in Seville, Spain, broadening her understanding of global legal systems and cultures. Sara then interned at Scherr Legate PLLC, a personal injury firm in El Paso, Texas, where she conducted legal research and drafted memoranda.
In addition to serving as a Staff Member of the Texas Tech Law Review, Sara is a brief writer for one of the school’s moot court teams. She is also a member of the Hispanic Law Student Association and the Organization of Women Law Students.
In her free time, Sara enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
