Rachel Behnke

Rachel Behnke is a third-year law student who will graduate in May of 2026. Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, Rachel proudly grew up on the Gulf Coast. A Red Raider through and through, Rachel graduated summa cum laude from Texas Tech University in 2023. She earned dual degrees in Spanish and Honors Sciences and the Humanities, receiving distinctions such as Highest Honors from the Honors College and Highest-Ranking Graduate. As a part of the Honors College, Rachel wrote a thesis titled “Legality v. Morality: Should Victimless Crimes be Prosecuted?” 

In addition to serving as an Articles Editor for Volume 58 of Texas Tech Law Review, Rachel is a member of the Board of Barristers, and a competitor on the National Pretrial, Moot Court, and Mock Trial teams. Through her participation in Board of Barristers competitions, she earned both a Mock Trial and Advanced Moot Court Championship and was awarded as the Overall Top Oralist in each event. At the close of her 2L year, Rachel received the Top Gun Award for her accomplishments in advocacy.

Over her 2L summer, Rachel worked in the personal injury department at The Fuentes Firm. There, she gained valuable litigation experience defending trucking accident claims and preparing cases for trial. Following graduation, Rachel will return to The Fuentes Firm as a first-year associate. Outside of school, Rachel enjoys walking her Scottie, Heidi, attending Texas Tech football games, spending time with her friends, and listening to music on vinyl with her brother.
