Mya Garcia

Mya Garcia is a third-year law student who will graduate in May 2026. She was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas. Mya graduated summa cum laude from Texas Tech University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology. 

Following her 1L year, Mya clerked at Killion Estrello in Lubbock, Texas, where she drafted various legal documents, conducted legal research, and assisted in preparing for hearings. During her 2L summer she worked at Mullin Hoard & Brown, gaining valuable experience in Estate Planning and Business Transactions, and at Cotton  Bledsoe Tighe & Dawson, primarily working in the Oil & Gas section.

In addition to serving as Online Edition Editor for Volume 58 of the Texas Tech Law Review, Mya will serve as the Senior Representative for the State Bar of Texas. Mya also works as a research assistant for Professor Gerry Beyer, and is a student attorney for the Family Law Clinic. 

In her spare time, Mya enjoys playing with her two golden retrievers, working out, and spending time with her friends and family.
