Marcus Rael III is a second-year law student who will graduate in May of 2027. Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Marcus attended Saint Pius X High School before earning his Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Texas Tech University, graduating summa cum laude with minors in Political Science and Psychology.
Marcus’s interest in the legal field was shaped early on through summer positions at Robles, Rael, and Anaya, P.C., where he gained firsthand exposure to legal practice and developed a strong want to pursue a career in law.
Following his first year of law school, Marcus worked with Avangrid’s Corporate Development and Acquisitions Division in Orange, Connecticut. During his time there, he contributed to the development of a legal contract playbook designed for use across Avangrid and its affiliate companies nationwide. He also collaborated with the Litigation Division to deepen his understanding of corporate risk analysis and supported the Power Division on matters involving the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
Outside of his academic and professional pursuits, Marcus enjoys spending time with his family and friends, golfing, and hunting.
