Leandre van der Bank is a second-year law student at Texas Tech University School of Law who will graduate in May 2028. She is a South African immigrant who grew up in Gail, Texas, and graduated from Borden County High School before attending Texas Tech University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in English, summa cum laude in 2024.
After her first year of law school, Leandre interned for Boyd, Boyd, and Giddens, where she prepared litigation plans, assisted with drafting motions, and observed trials and hearings. Following her second year, she will join Nicolaides, Fink, Thorpe, Michaelides, Sullivan LLP’s Dallas Office as a summer associate, working in insurance coverage law.
In addition to serving as a member of the Texas Tech Law Review, Leandre serves as a research assistant and a member of the Organization of Women Law Students Association. In her free time, Leandre enjoys playing with her two dogs and cat, reading, sewing, and spending time with her family and friends.
