Kameron Schultz is a JD candidate who will graduate in May 2027. Kameron was born and raised in Austin, Texas where he attended Anderson High School. Kameron then left the state to attend Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania where he graduated with a double major in Economics and Government & Law.
After graduation, Kameron was commissioned as a Military Intelligence Officer in the US Army. He spent the next four and a half years serving on active duty, primarily with the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, New York. While on active duty, Kameron was deployed to Iraq in the summer of 2023. It was there that he truly honored his work ethic and analytical skill set while also gaining valuable experience briefing Field Grade and General Officers.
After gaining admittance to the Texas Tech School of Law, Kameron left the Army. During his 1L year he rediscovered a passion for the law and oral advocacy, racking up several awards including the Top-Grade Award in Contracts, 1L Moot Court Champion, and 1L Negotiations Semi-Finalist—earning Top Oralist awards in both competitions.
Following his 1L year, Kameron spent the first half of his summer at the Texas Attorney General’s Office. There, he worked in the Criminal Prosecutions Division, where he conducted legal research and developed his motions practice skills while working alongside the appellate and capital crimes teams. Kameron then spent the second half of his summer as a legal intern at the US Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas. While there, he gained valuable litigation experience working on both civil and criminal cases in federal court.
In addition to serving on the Texas Tech Law Review, Kameron is also a member of the Texas Tech National Moot Court and Negotiation teams, the Federalist Society, and the Criminal and Prosecution Law Societies. In his spare time, Kameron enjoys camping, watching baseball, and playing golf.
