Jesus Rodriguez is a second-year law student who will graduate in May 2027. Although he was born in Odessa, Texas, Jesus has called Lubbock home for most of his life and proudly considers himself a true Lubbock native.
Jesus graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. After that, he earned a Master of Science in Forensic Science from Texas Tech University, originally planning to become a crime scene investigator. That plan changed after his family was involved in a serious car accident, opening his eyes to the powerful role legal advocacy can play. Since then, Jesus has been passionate about helping people who have been hurt through no fault of their own.
Before starting law school, Jesus worked as a legal secretary at Glasheen, Valles & Inderman, LLP, a personal injury firm in the heart of Lubbock. He returned to the firm during his 1L summer, where he gained valuable hands-on experience doing legal research, drafting demand letters, and interacting with clients.
In his free time, Jesus enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and family, trying new foods, and playing with his two dogs, Gordo and Manny.
