Isaiah Altstatt is a second–year law student at Texas Tech University of Law graduating in May of 2028. Isaiah grew up in Fresno, California where he would go on to get his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at CSU: Fresno in 2025. Moving to Texas was a big decision for him, but one of his better ones.
During his free time in the Spring of his first year, Isaiah studied and passed the USPTO Patent Bar and is now a registered Patent Agent. Following his first year at Tech, Isaiah interned with the Honorable Mark Hocker at the Lubbock County Courthouse; as a law clerk with the Lubbock City Attorney’s Office; and most recently as an intern to the Honorable Brad W. Odell in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.
Isaiah is not only a staff member of the Texas Tech Law Review, but also a staff member for the Journal of Energy Law Practitioners. In addition to these roles, Isaiah serves as vice president to the Intellectual Property Student Association and social media manager for the Raider Bar Association.
He also enjoys working out with his friends, cooking, and karaoke (whether or not the audience enjoys his performances is a different story).
