Hayli Mackey is a second-year law student, expected to graduate in May 2028. She was raised in southeastern Colorado in a small farm town named Springfield. She earned both her B.A. in Economics and B.A. in Sociology from Texas Tech University, where she graduated magna cum laude.
In addition to serving as a staff member for Volume 59 of the Texas Tech Law Review, Hayli is a competitor on the National Mock Trial Team. During her 1L year, she competed in the Board of Barristers Competitions in negotiations, mock trial, and moot court, where she was recognized as the overall top oralist in mock trial.
Following her 1L year, Hayli spent her summer working in the personal injury department at The Fuentes Firm. There, she gained valuable litigation experience defending trucking accident claims and preparing case materials for trial.
In her free time, Hayli enjoys cooking for her wonderful fiancé, participating in intramural sports, and reading on the couch while her Yorkipoo, Ellie, takes a nap.
