Hailey Lowery

Hailey Lowery is a third-year law student who will graduate in May 2026. Hailey is from Gail, Texas, and attended Lubbock Christian University (LCU) where she was a member of the cross country and track teams. She graduated summa cum laude from LCU in May 2023 and was an Honors College Graduate, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics.

During her last year of undergrad, Hailey worked as a landman, inspiring her to pursue a career practicing energy law and to attend Texas Tech University School of Law. Following her 1L year, Hailey spent the first half of summer clerking for Tarry & Hene in Tyler, Texas, where she drafted various legal documents pertaining to Oil & Gas, Business, and Real Estate law. During the second half of summer, Hailey clerked for Cotton Bledsoe Tighe and Dawson in Midland, Texas. There, she conducted legal research and drafted pleadings. Following her 2L year, Hailey was a Summer Associate at Kelly Hart & Hallman’s Midland Office focusing on energy law matters. Hailey will return to Kelly Hart & Hallman in the Fall of 2026 as an Associate.  

In addition to being a Comment Editor for Volume 58 of Texas Tech Law Review, Hailey is also Editor-in-Chief for Volume V of the Journal of the Energy Law Practitioner. Additionally, Hailey serves as a Teaching Fellow for Professor Humphrey, a brief writer for a national moot court teams, and is involved in the Energy Law Interest Group. 

Outside of law school, Hailey still enjoys running, spending time with friends and family, and reading.
