Decorian Menefee is a J.D. Candidate who will graduate in May 2026. Decorian is the youngest of five boys raised out of Big Sandy, East Texas. After graduating as the valedictorian of Big Sandy High, he attended the University of Texas as a Terry Foundation Scholar. There, Decorian graduated with honors earning a Bachelor’s of Science and Arts in Biochemistry with a focus in Music.
During his time at the university, Decorian was elected vice president of the interfraternity council, as well as an orientation advisor and mentor to incoming students. He was a part of professional health honor societies and spent much of his volunteer commitments towards servicing the medical industry. Decorian also competed on the Texas Gymnastics team, competing collegiately at the NCAA and Level 9 levels. He is an all-around competitor; however, he specializes in parallel bars.
In addition to serving as a member of Volume 57 for Texas Tech Law Review, Decorian has joined the Intellectual Property Student Association, a national mock trial advocacy team, the Texas Tech Gymnastics team, and he is tutoring the incoming law students in civil procedure. Decorian is pursuing Litigation, Intellectual Property, and Corporate Law, with interests surrounding technology and the sciences. After his first year, he spent his summer as a summer associate with Tawney, Acosta & Chaparro, working within personal injury. Decorian hopes to conclude his education at Texas Tech Law by obtaining a concentration in Law and Science.
Decorian competed at the 2024 National Gymnastics Competition held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and obtained fifth as an all-around competitor.
