Caroline Ford

Caroline Ford is a third-year law student who will graduate in May 2025. She was raised in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida before moving to Frisco, Texas. Caroline graduated summa cum laude from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2021, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice.

Prior to law school, Caroline worked as a paralegal for The Silvera Firm, a workers’ compensation and personal injury firm in Dallas, Texas. There, she prepared and scheduled the required designated doctor examinations, prepared medical records, and conducted legal research.

In addition to serving as a Comment Editor for Volume 57 of Texas Tech Law Review, Caroline is the Director of Communications for the Board of Barristers. Additionally, she is involved in the Advanced Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Clinic and will serve as a mediator in real cases. Caroline is on two traveling mock trial teams, the National Mock Trial ABA Arbitration team and the South Texas Mock Trial Challenge team. She serves as the Editor for the Texas Tech Law Yearbook and is a member of the Organization for Women Law Students.

Following her 1L year, Caroline was a Summer Associate at Danley Bergia, PLLC, a family law firm in Austin, Texas. There, she drafted various legal documents and motions, conducted legal research, and assisted and attended in trials, mediations, and arbitrations.

Following her 2L year, Caroline was a Summer Associate at Bustos Law Firm and Matthew Harris Law, PLLC here in Lubbock. At Bustos, she drafted various legal documents and motions and conducted legal research. At Matthew Harris Law, she worked in the family law division and attended trials and mediations, observed client consultations, drafted motions, and conducted legal research. Caroline’s primary interests include family law and civil litigation, and she looks forward to staying in Lubbock after graduation. In her spare time, Caroline enjoys traveling, swimming, attending concerts, and spending time with her new husband, their families, and friends.
