Brooke Brewer

Brooke Brewer is a third-year law student graduating in May 2024. Born and raised in McKinney, Texas, Brooke graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science while playing on the Women’s Tennis team.

In addition to serving as a Comment Editor for Volume 56 of the Texas Tech Law Review, Brooke is a Legal Practice Teaching Fellow for Professor DeLeith Gossett, a Research Assistant for Professor Dustin Benham, a BARBRI Student Ambassador, and a brief writer for multiple national moot court teams. Additionally, her student comment, “Let There Be Light! (But Only From Within the State): Why the Dormant Commerce Clause Forbids Rights of First Refusal for Utility Companies,” will be published in an upcoming edition of the Texas Tech Law Review.

Following her 2L year, Brooke clerked at Davis, Gerald & Cremer in Midland, Texas and then interned in the Corporate Compliance Department at 7-Eleven, Inc. in Irving, Texas. After graduation, Brooke will return to Davis, Gerald & Cremer to begin her career in Midland as an associate attorney handling oil and gas litigation.

In her spare time, Brooke enjoys spending time with friends and family, trying new happy hour spots, watching sports, and cooking.
