Barry Klein

Barry Klein is a 3L J.D. candidate who will graduate in May 2024. Barry grew up in Redondo Beach, California.  He graduated from California State University, Long Beach, where he found success on the school’s Moot Court team.  Before law school, Barry spent several years coaching high school football. 

In addition to serving as Student Writing Editor for Volume 56 of the Texas Tech Law Review, Barry is a Research Assistant for Professor Dustin Benham, competitor on National Moot Court and Mock Trial teams, and will serve as a Member of the Board of Barristers. Additionally, his student Comment, “Removing Chance From the Litigation of Daily Fantasy Sports: The Need to Broaden the Scope of What Constitutes a Game of Skill,” will be published by the Texas Tech Law Review in Fall 2023. Following his 2L year, Barry spent the summer working for Lewis, Marenstein, Wicke, Sherwin & Lee as a Summer Intern in Woodland Hills, California.

Barry’s areas of interest include trial and appellate litigation.  In his spare time, Barry enjoys CrossFit, sports, and Texas country concerts.
