Aimee Hernandez

Aimee Hernandez is a 3L J.D. candidate who will graduate in May 2025. Aimee was born and raised in Del Rio, Texas. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2015 with a degree in Government. 

Before law school, Aimee worked as a Teach for America corps member teaching first and second grade in Fort Worth, Texas. After three years of teaching, Aimee worked at Deloitte as an Executive Assistant. 

In addition to serving as a Texas Tech Law Review member, Aimee is Pro bono Chair for the Immigration Law Association. There, she translates letters for the Innocence Project. 

Following her 1L year, Aimee interned with the Deloitte Global Office of the General Counsel. There, she worked on creating an overview of the firm’s contingent workforce. Additionally, Aimee interned at a federal district court with the Honorable Chief Judge Alia Moses for the Western District of Texas. There, she worked on drafting and editing Orders. 

In her spare time, she enjoys Orange Theory Fitness, nature walks, cooking, and baking.
