Sarah Blakemore Stuart was born and raised in Houston, attending Maribeau B. Lamar High School. Upon graduation, she walked runways across Europe and the US as a model. While waiting for a work visa to model in South Korea, she interned at the Hoover Slovacek law firm. There she met her mind’s match—the law.
To begin her second career, Stuart gained a Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric and Writing from the University of Texas at Austin, working off hours at a local insurance-defense firm, Wright & Greenhill, P.C., ascending from receptionist to junior paralegal. While attending UT, she coached and competed in undergraduate moot court, ranking among the top twenty-five oralists in the US by her senior year. Attracted by Tech’s excellence in oral advocacy, Stuart enrolled there in Fall 2025.
During her first year, Sarah Blakemore Stuart won the 1L moot court competition, earning Overall Top Oralist. She was also given the Top-Grade Award in Constitutional Law. In the first half of the summer, she served as a judicial intern in Justice John P. Devine’s chambers at the Supreme Court of Texas. There, she spent her time drafting memoranda and Bluebooking opinions. Returning to her hometown for the latter half of the summer, she clerked in Husch Blackwell’s public law group, conducting research for government clients, such as the City of Houston.
In addition to serving on the law review, Stuart competes on one of Tech’s moot court teams. Likewise, she is an ABA Law Student Scholar and a member of the Federalist Society. A devout Catholic, she enjoys singing in the church choir, cooking for her husband, Nick, and reading classical literature.
