Cierra Garcia is a second-year law student who will graduate in May 2027. She was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. Cierra graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sustainability Studies.
Prior to law school, Cierra worked as a case manager at a personal injury law firm in Austin, Texas. In this role, she enjoyed working one-on-one with clients and assisting with case management from initial intake through resolution.
Following her 1L year, Cierra spent the first half of her summer clerking in the Environmental Protection Division of the Texas Attorney General’s Office. She then spent the second half of her summer as a judicial intern for Judge Susan Barclay of the 117th District Court in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Cierra also serves on the Student Bar Association as the 2L State Bar of Texas class representative. She is also a Dean’s Ambassador and a member of the Hispanic Law Student Association. In her free time, she enjoys going on walks with her dog, reading, and spending time outdoors with her family and friends.
