Myles Corona is a 3L J.D. Candidate who will graduate in May of 2023. Myles grew up in Austin, Texas and graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice in 2018. While completing his undergraduate degree, Myles interned for the Tarrant County Juvenile Justice Department, where he attended criminal trials and helped create community service projects for at-risk youth.
Prior to coming to law school, Myles worked for McElroy, Sullivan, Miller, & Weber, an environmental law firm in Austin. In addition, he worked for a private investigation firm, also located in Austin.
Myles’ student comment, “Not Everything is Clearer in Retrospect: Why and How the Texas Legislature Should Better Protect Defendants’ Right Not to Be Tried While Incompetent,” will be published in the upcoming edition of Texas Tech Law Review. In addition to serving as a Comment Editor for Law Review, Myles is the President of Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity and a Kenneth H. Burns Award Recipient.
During the summers after his 1L and 2L years, Myles returned to clerk for McElroy, Sullivan, Miller, & Weber in Austin, where he gained valuable experience in oil & gas regulatory law, as well as various other areas associated with environmental law. Additionally, after his 2L year, Myles clerked for Cotton, Bledsoe, Tighe, & Dawson in Midland, Texas, where he gained experience in oil & gas transactional work and litigation. Myles’ primary interests of law include Real Estate and Oil & Gas Law. In his free time Myles enjoys fishing, hunting, watching sports, and spending time with friends and family
