Taylor Holley

Taylor Holley is a 3L J.D. candidate who will graduate in May 2022. Taylor grew up in Tampa, Florida before moving to Lubbock, Texas, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in American Sign Language from Texas Tech University.

In addition to serving as a Comment Editor for Volume 54 of the Texas Tech Law Review, Taylor is the former vice president of Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society, and is a member of the Board of Barristers, Tech Health Law Association, and Black Law Students Association. Taylor also serves a brief writer for multiple national moot court competition teams. During her 2L year, Taylor wrote the best brief of the 2020 Billings Exum & Frye National Moot Court Competition. Her team went on to win the Regional Championship, National Championship, and National Best Brief of the 2021 ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition.

Taylor’s student comment, “Auditing Scientology: Reexamining the Church’s 501(c)(3) Tax Exemption Eligibility,” garnered significant national attention, earning her a guest spot on an episode of former Scientologists Leah Remini and Mike Rinder’s podcast, “Scientology: Fair Game.” Taylor’s comment will be published in the upcoming edition of the Texas Tech Law Review.

From March 2020 to the present, Taylor has worked as a law clerk at Key Terrell & Seger, LLP. Taylor’s primary areas of interest include commercial litigation and bankruptcy. In her spare time, she enjoys watching true crime documentaries and relaxing with her dogs.
