Zirwa Sheikh is a 3L J.D. candidate graduating in May 2017. She also serves as an Articles Editor on Volume 49 of the Texas Tech Law Review. Zirwa was born in Lahore, Pakistan and raised in Dallas, Texas. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Sociology from Texas A&M University. Zirwa has over 5 years of experience working for various insurance companies including State Farm and Nationwide.
As a 1L, she spent her summer externing at the Lubbock County District Attorney’s Office for juvenile defendants. Recently, Zirwa spent the first half of her 2L summer serving as a judicial intern for the Chambers of Justice Nelda Rodriguez at the 13th Court of Appeals in Corpus Christi. She spent the second half of her summer interning for the Tailim Song Law Firm, a commercial litigation law firm in Dallas. Upon graduation, Zirwa is interested in practicing oil and gas law, corporate law, or insurance law.
