Kathryn Almond is the Executive Managing Editor for Volume 49 of the Texas Tech Law Review and a J.D. candidate graduating in May 2017. She grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas, and Winnetka, Illinois. Kathryn earned her Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration in Professional Writing from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She also received minors in Communications and Legal Studies.
Kathryn is also a member of the Board of Barristers and writes for the Texas Bank Lawyer. She tutors for Professor Gerry W. Beyer in Property and Professor Wesley Cochran in Torts. She also serves as a research assistant to Professor Dustin Benham, researching issues involving civil procedure. During her time in law school, Kathryn interned at Hartline Dacus Barger Dreyer LLP, the Law Office of Scott Ellison, the Thirteenth Court of Appeals, and the 347th District Court in Corpus Christi.
