Emily De Young is a second year J.D./M.S. P.F.P. candidate graduating in May 2019. Emily grew up south of Dallas in Ovilla, Texas, and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and minor in Legal Studies from Texas Tech University in 2016.
In addition to her position as a Staff Member of Volume 50 of the Texas Tech Law Review, Emily serves as a Teaching Fellow for Professor Brie Sherwin and is a Brief Writer for the Chicago Bar Association National Moot Court Competition. Emily’s work experience includes interning for Judge Phil Sorrells in Tarrant County Criminal Court 10, for McKool Smith LLP in Dallas, Texas, and for Naman, Howell, Smith & Lee, PLLC in Waco, Texas.
