David Miles

David is a 3L J.D. candidate graduating in May 2017. David grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, and attended the University of Oklahoma where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance in 2012. Prior to attending law school, David worked as a landman in Midland, Texas.

In addition to being an Articles Editor for Volume 49 of the Texas Tech Law Review, David serves as a Teaching Fellow for Professor Brie Sherwin and is a member of the Board of Barristers. David also served as a brief writer for the 2015 National Entertainment Law Moot Court Competition team, where the team won the championship, and his brief placed third. David’s experience includes working as an intern for the Honorable John H. McBryde in the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Texas. He also worked as a clerk for Kelly Hart & Hallman in Fort Worth this summer and will be working there after graduation in the litigation section.
