Austin DeBoer is a 3L J.D. candidate graduating in May 2017. He grew up in Austin, Texas, and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Government and History from the University of Texas at Austin in 2012. He also received a minor in American Studies. In 2014 he received his Master of Arts in Legal Studies from Texas State University.
In addition to his duties as a Comment Editor for the Texas Tech Law Review, Austin is a Teaching Fellow for Professor Nancy Soonpaa’s Legal Practice course and a brief writer for a National Moot Court Competition team. Austin’s interests include oil and gas law, administrative law, and appellate law.
Most recently, Austin worked in the Office of the Attorney General of Texas in the General Litigation Division and as an intern for Judge Brandy Mueller in Austin, Texas. Prior to law school, he interned at the Office of the Attorney General of Texas in the Administrative Law Division.
