Ashleigh Hammer is the Student Writing Editor for Volume 49 of the Texas Tech Law Review and a J.D. candidate for the class of 2017. She grew up in Round Hill, Virginia, and received her Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies from the United States Air Force Academy in 2014. Ashleigh is currently an active duty Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. She is on military leave for three years to attend law school and, upon graduation, will become a member of the Air Force Judge Advocate General Corps.
Ashleigh is currently the Air Force Liaison for the Tech Law Military Association, the Director of Written Advocacy for the Board of Barristers, and a member of Texas Tech’s inaugural Innocence Clinic. She is currently on two National Moot Court competition teams and serves as a tutor for Professor Huffman’s 1L criminal law course. Ashleigh also works as a research assistant for Professor Chiappinelli and Professor Rosen, researching various issues relating to Delaware corporate law and military law.
